Real Protractor Online (“we”, “us”, or “the site”) provides free browser-based geometry tools for students. This policy explains what information the site handles, what it never collects, and the choices you have. The short version: you do not need an account, we do not ask for your name or email to use the tools, and your images and practice progress stay on your own device.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not require registration, we do not ask for personal details, and we do not collect the angles you measure, the images you upload, or your quiz answers on our servers. There is no database of student profiles. Anything you do with the tools is your own business.

2. Information stored on your device (localStorage)

To show your XP, daily streak, and quiz history, the site saves a small progress record in your browser’s local storage. This data:

  • never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or anyone else;
  • is visible only to you, in that browser, on that device;
  • can be erased at any time by clearing your browser’s site data or by using the browser’s “delete site data” option.

Because progress is stored locally, clearing your browser data will reset your streak and XP. This is the trade-off of being a fully account-free service.

3. Images you upload

When you upload a photo or worksheet to measure angles on it, the image is processed entirely inside your browser using standard web technology. The image is never uploaded to our servers — we could not look at it even if we wanted to. Closing or reloading the page discards the image.

4. Server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a page request) for security and reliability purposes. We do not use these logs to profile visitors, and we do not attempt to identify individuals from them.

5. Cookies and advertising

The site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we display advertising in the future (for example through Google AdSense), third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. At that point this policy will be updated, and where required by law, a consent notice will be shown before non-essential cookies are used. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings atadssettings.google.com, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies ataboutads.info/choices.

6. Children’s privacy

The site is designed for students, including children under 13, and is built to be safe for them: we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and there is no social feature that lets strangers contact students. The only user data is the device-local progress record described above, which contains no names or personal details. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Third-party links

Our pages link to external resources (such as Google’s ad settings above). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites — once you leave this site, the destination’s own policy applies.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes (such as introducing accounts or analytics) will be highlighted on the home page before they take effect.

9. Contact

Questions or requests about privacy — including deleting any information you believe we hold — can be sent to support@realprotractoronline.com. See the Contact page for more details.
